Great Aromas Zucchini Race at the Aromas Harvest Fair

Official Rules
The race course will begin on a track with three lanes separated by walls about one inch high. To fit on this track, the zucchini racer cannot be longer than 17 ½ inches or wider than 7 ¼ inches. Decorative projections a bit beyond these limits will be fine.
Build a racer at home, and display it at the fair before the race.
OR
Materials will be available to build a racer at the fair. Come early!
Racers must be completed by 12 noon.
Race begins at 1:00 pm.

Official Rules
- Entries must be genuine zucchini racers, consisting of a zucchini squash with two wooden axles inserted through it, and wheels attached to the ends of the axles. No squashes on roller skates will be allowed.
- Decorative additions are allowed and encouraged.
- No force will be used to propel zucchini racers except the force of gravity.
- Wheels may not exceed 3 inches in diameter.

Three Ways to Exhibit Your Harvest
Bring your entries to:
The Aromas Water District The Aromas Town Square Park
Saturday evening, Sept. 9th OR the morning of the fair
6 – 8 pm 8 - 9 am
Entries can be picked up after the Fair closes, between 3 – 4 pm Sunday.
Enter as many items as you wish!

- Enter your homegrown fruits and vegetables in the Local Harvest Display. Entries may be fresh from the garden or may be canned, pickled, or dried.
- Enter eggs, laid by your backyard flock, in the Local Egg Display.
- Enter clothing or other items you made, from your own or other local fleeces, in the Local Fiber and Textile Display. Or enter a 4 oz. sample of fiber or fleece from animals or plants you raised.
